Veterinarians
Dr. Jared Conley , DVM
|
Dr. Conley grew up in a small town in north central West Virginia. He received his undergraduate degree from West Virginia University College of Agriculture and Forestry in 1996. During His undergraduate education, Jared was an avid hiker, enjoyed cycling, and worked at local animal hospitals. He graduated from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2000 and has worked as a veterinarian at an outstanding veterinary hospital in the Raleigh area for 3 years. He is co-founder of CareFirst Animal Hospital and is involved in small animal practice with an emphasis on internal medicine and orthopedic surgery. Dr. Jared and his wife, Kellie, have one daughter, Katlyn, two sons, Sean and Lachlan, a Labrador retriever, Sydney, and four cats. He actively contributes his time and skills to the Wake County SPCA and actively participates in community programs with his local church. Dr. Dawn Dateno , VMD
Dr. Dawn Dateno grew up in the outskirts of Pittsburgh, PA. She received her undergraduate degree from the College of Charleston in Charleston, SC and was commissioned as an officer in the Navy shortly after graduation. After nine years of active duty in the Navy, she decided to pursue her dream of becoming a veterinarian. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA May 2006. Dr. Dateno and her husband, have two young children, Marcus and Reagan, a mixed breed rescue dog, Costello.

Louise DeLong Dr. Louise DeLong grew up just outside of Atlanta, Georgia. She
received her B.S. in biology degree from the University of Georgia in
2001. Go Dawgs! Shortly thereafter, she graduated from the University
of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine with a DVM degree in 2005.
Following graduation from veterinary school, Dr. DeLong moved to
Washington, D.C. where she worked as a veterinarian at an urban small
animal clinic. Longing to be back in the South and closer to sweet tea,
Southern hospitality and family, Dr. DeLong moved to North Carolina in
August 2009, when she joined Carefirst Animal Hospital at Falls Pointe.
She is currently living in Chapel Hill with her orange tabby, Piper and
cannot wait to add a puppy to the household! Dr. DeLong enjoys all
aspects of veterinary medicine, but is especially interested in soft
tissue surgery, internal medicine, and dentistry.
Customer Service Technicians
Paul Booms Paul is originally from Lake City, Michigan. He moved to NC in 2006 after getting out of the Army and has been working with animals ever since. He lives in Durham with his boyfriend Matt and their 4 dogs, Sydney, Lilly, Sam, and Isabel and their snake Ivory. Paul loves the outdoors and his hobbies include rock climbing, snowboarding, sky diving, and drawing. Paul loves North Carolina and plans on staying here for good!

Leslie Lafferty | Lesley started at Care First Animal Hospital in June of 2008. She moved to Raleigh from the sunny beaches of Wilmington. She lives with her fiance Derick, her rotweiler Wiley and two cats Sidney and Scarlett. Lesley attended ECU for 2 years and is deffinitely a Pirates fan. She loves animals both big and small. In her free time she enjoys hanging out with friends and going to the movies. |

Kim Gerber | Kim started at Care First Animal Hospital in June of 2008. She was born and raised in Buffalo, New York and recently moved to Raleigh. She lives with her fiance Deron, her dog Scruffy and three cats Sushi, Linda, and Connie. She loves doing activities outside and spending time with her family and friends. Kim especially loves helping and working with animals. |

Stancy Carter Stancy is originally from West Virginia but moved to North Carolina in 2001. She lives in Franklinton with her husband and step-daughter. She has a dog named Odie, a cat named Garfield, and a rabbit named Easter. When she's not working she likes to spend time at the racetrack or riding horses.
Kellie Conley , RVT Kellie is a customer service technician here at Falls Pointe Animal Hospital. She grew up in Clarksburg West Virginia and moved to Raleigh with her family in 2000. She is a registered Veterinary Technician in the state of North Carolina and Ohio. She graduated from Fairmont State College in 1998. She is also the Hospital Administrator here a Falls Pointe. Kellie lives with her husband ,Jared, daughter ,Katlyn, son ,Sean, Ms.Chevious, Ms. Chelsea, Conagher, and Vinnie the Tiger, (all of which are cats), Sydney our loving Labrador Retriever, Blossom the guinea pig and several fish aquariums. Kellie loves working with animals and constantly meeting all the new faces who visit Falls Pointe on a daily basis.

Cristi Mensaque | Cristi has been with Care First Animal Hospital since March of 2008. She loves all animals however Golden Retrievers and Shih Tzus are her favorites. Outside of work she likes to play soccer and watch Carolina basketball. Cristi has two dogs named Harley and Koda. |

Mari Medina
Lacey Long Lacey has lived in Raleigh her entire life. She currently attends NC State and is working toward a degree is animal science. She has two dogs, Tassel and Sadie, and two cats, Rocky and Coconut. She loves working with animals and also enjoys photography.
Natalie Natalie is originally from Erath, Louisiana and moved to North Carolina in 2007. She studied kinesiology at the University of Louisiana and plans on furthering her education an NC State. She has two cats, Jack and Edgar, and a dog named Bess. She enjoys playing the guitar and hanging out with friends and family.
Rory Knutsen Rory is originally from Scotland but has lived along the east coast for most of his life. He is a graduate of the University of Tennessee and is planning on attending the Engineering Masters program at NC State. He loves dogs and currently has a husky/boxer mix named Charlie that can beat any other dog at catching frisbees! Rory's interest include skiing, mountaineering, running, traveling, and playing rugby for the Raleigh Vipers.

Kris Prichard Kirs is originally from Ocala, Florida. She has been with Care First Animal Hospital for over 2 years now. She has 2 children and lives in Clayton. She has 2 dogs Robbie and Dundee and 2 cats Tiger and Kitty. In her free time Kris like to spend time with her kids and hang out with friends.

Transcriptionist
Courtney Diani Courtney is originally from New York but moved to North Carolina in 1997. She is a huge dog lover and has 4 dogs of her own! In her spare time she likes to help rescue groups.
